Lincoln Park Wine Bar

Caroline, our in house designer, worked with chef Steve Simmons and partners to build out a wine bar that lended itself to Steve’s famous comfort food paired with a casual wine and beer bar. The result was a popping neighborhood favorite place to gather with friends.

In restaurant design, two key aspects are important to me, welcoming ambiance, and functionality. Caroline Stephens epitomized both when she took on the challenge of transforming Lincoln Park into a wine bar.

Caroline’s ability to create a welcoming ambiance was comprehensive, whether it was designing the space, choosing colors, repurposing existing features, lighting, or sourcing hard to find materials. Caroline excelled at all of these with professional calm. Lincoln Park was a warm and inviting space. Caroline’s ability to maximize the space through her design, allowed us to offer numerous, perfectly accommodating seating experiences from which our clients could enjoy themselves.

The space that Caroline designed at Lincoln Park was exciting. It continually looked fresh and timeless, each piece in its perfect state.
— Steve Simmons, chef and client

The interior comprised of locally sourced furnishings including reclaimed farmhouse wood tables, traditional Carrera marble, Schoolhouse Electric custom light fixtures and refurbishing the original plank floors. Peacock blue and warm greys made up the canvas allowing for the space to showcase rotating local artists and taking on a new “vibe” each month.
